The multi-party system collapsed, and the political system is distorted. This trend peaked after the 2020 parliamentary elections, which were boycotted by a large part of the opposition. The result is a parliament with virtually no opposition. In this manner, the political system lost the ability to hold the government politically accountable for its actions.
